Buy a Brick... Help Build a Wall!

The walls of the former Wilmington Police Department building at 115 Red Cross Street came tumbling down during the week of October 5th, 2009. As demolition crews attacked the building, numerous WPD employees stopped by and spent time watching the walls fall and talking about their memories of working in the building.

In an effort to allow people the opportunity to have a keepsake of those fallen walls, The Wilmington Police Recreation Association obtained permission to collect 500 of the bricks from the Facade of the building to sell to help finance another important wall.  The bricks are available for purchase for $5 each to help finance the Officer Down Memorial Wall.

To purchase a brick, Contact Auxiliary Lieutenant Matt Hinson at matthew.c.hinson@gmail.com or call 910-471-0797.
